Analysis of The Faithful Student

The Faithful Student - By: Majed Dodeen
*******************************
Life is but a series of dreams
Its fabrics is made up of memories
Its silence is full of crystal clear words
Its threads contain expressive thoughts
Masterworks painted in memory as flashes
Its melodies and sonnets travel as mirage auras
Words scatter and spread as shreds across the roads
I meditate life stations and the journey of years
An exhausted being suffering of tiredness
Asking numerous questions
Why, when, where and many inquiries.
Who are you? What and many explorations
Love browses its collection of poems
I thought you are the poison and chronic disease
But indeed you are the antidote that soothes
I approached to take a shelter
Underneath your eyelids
But fire clinches and embraces
They tried to mislead me saying you are only illusions
I did not believe them nor consider their delusions
I took off my crown and crowned your as miss universe
I registered my name as a faithful student in your schools
I loved your enchanting eyes,
Kissed your angelic forehead
Since your poetic face is my homeland
They convicted me because I platonically love you
And I will forever love you
And sing for you and for all spheres:
Oh! The oxygen of my life
O! The fountain of my soul that is sailing within my spirit
Sailing long and continuously
Roaming the seas and in each and every cell
Persistently spreading joy
Searching and messing up my rooms
Excavating in my file of memories
With puzzlement in eyes
Symbolizes the meaning of the decision
But without final conclusion
Moments, flashes and ticks
The veil of secrets drops
The wave wakes up from unconsciousness
Your eyes
Send their successive contemplation and gazes
Squeezing all memories
Drop by drop
Tears coming in abundance
Irrigating the fields
Generating roots
Greener orchards
The flourishing tears
Produce glowing candles
In compartments and in the sad heart
Remains gifts of love
Sprouts grow
Healing wounds of years
