Analysis of The Bird Woman Of Derry
There is an elderly local lady
Who daily feeds wild birds,
Especially street pigeons,
And I have no doubt that
Our local epitome of charity
Will be shocked by the news
That the citizens of the local
Pigeon kingdom has voted her
To become an honoured citizen.
And, if she agrees, they will
Provide for her a set of wings.
And, may I add, that I personally
And sincerely thank the bird woman
Of the city of Colm Cille for her
Commitment on behalf of our Creator's
Creatures of whom we are a part.
