Analysis of St.Brigid's Day
(1st of February)
~~~~~~~~
On the day of Saint Brigid's in
Accordance with tradition
Spring visits Ireland to
Fulfill her yearly mission.
~
As I stroll the roads I sense
The season's treasure for
Youth is all around and in my
Heart there is a measure.
~
Oh, there’s a touch of autumn
And winter too around but
Spring appears in splendour
As farmers till the ground.
~
The wind is not as cold
And the rain is turning soft
As the gentle snowdrop leads
The way with blossoms held aloft.
~
And soon the swallows will arrive
To grace our scenery- oh! my whole
Being is full of joy on this
Saint Brigid's day.
