Analysis of Les Deux Petits Frères
Maurice Rollinat 1846 (Châteauroux) – 1903 (Ivry-sur-Seine)
Ils s’en reviennent de l’école,
Un livre dans leur petit sac.
— Au loin, on entend le ressac
De la Creuse qui dégringole.
L’aîné rapporte une bricole,
De la chandelle et du tabac.
Ils s’en reviennent de l’école,
Un livre dans leur petit sac.
Mais la nuit vient ; dans sa rigole
La grenouille fait son coac,
Et tous les deux, ayant le trac
Et tirant leur pied qui se colle,
Ils s’en reviennent de l’école.
