Hay demasiada sombra en tus visiones,
algo tiene de plácido la vida,
no todo en la existencia es una herida
donde brote la sangre a borbotones.
La lucha tiene sombra, y las pasiones
agonizantes, la ternura huída,
todo lo amado que al pasar se olvida
es fuente de angustiosas decepciones.
Pero, ¿por qué dudar, si aún ofrecen
en el remoto porvenir oscuro
calmas hondas y vívidos cariños
la ternura profunda, el beso puro
y manos de mujer, que amantes mecen
las cunas sonrosadas de los niños?
