Analysis of Soul Bones

Hunter Aydelott 1960 (Tennessee)

Your formidable skills slicing
Between raindrops dance
Escaping narrow each time
Entrances me to follow more

I see your escape routes and detours
Sly like a fox clever like a dolphin
But holding the key to your heart
The alley cat follows slowly

Soft footsteps behind you one day
Will slit your throat and take you away
Purring spinning glances your way
One catch equals one mistake

I will cage you and make you my slave
Sending you meowing to an early grave
Claws and teeth ripping enemy skin
Extricatiing soul bones hacking frowns
