Analysis of Temporary.
I just wanna feel something.
I wanna know I’m not a loveless husk.
I want to feel something for someone.
I want someone to feel something for me.
I don’t even care if it’s just temporary.
I’d be happy if something lasts for awhile.
Even two months would be okay.
I just want a confirmation of my being.
A confirmation that I have real feelings.
Confirmation that I actually can fall in love.
Yet, I am not falling in love.
No one is falling in love with me.
No one likes me more than a friend.
I like no one more than a friend.
Just let me have feelings, God.
Just let me love someone, God.

About this poem
I wrote this poem a couple months ago, back in February. It was a week or two since the year mark of me being single again. That heartbreak broke me, but I pieced myself back together. Even then, I still occasionally wonder when I will find someone again, if ever. I try to remind myself about those fish in the sea, but that’s a bad analogy: I’m not a good fisher.
