Analysis of Elk in the white
Winter breaking up
Soon the dripping of branches
And the music snapping.
Large elk bunch
Totalling three harems.
A strategy in tough times
Swarming confuses pursuers.
Wolves growling out their
Hunger and testiness, spittle
One of three elk males
Bugles high pitched
The girls check out
Location of babes.
All sure of foot
Ready to bolt in unison.
Again like a swarm.
A common consciousness.
I am relishing views
Through my rifle scope.
And a bighorn
Double curl featured
Does the same.
Up and down wind.
