Analysis of I’ve Dreamed
I’ve dreamed of a world
Where black women would reign
A world filled with Peace !
Not envy and pain
A world where a our characters
And abilities with matter
Not the color of our skins
Leaving us to be the latters
If all black women
Dreamed this drain I believe
They would not take the time
To roll up their sleeve
To administer the drug
That is the new slave
Leading them to a much early grave
Stand proud, black women
Dream your dreams
And prepared to take your places
To be princesses and Queens

About this poem
After seeing on the 12 o’clock news, a brief story of missing young black women bodies being found, and a predominantly known drug infested area. I was very touched by this newscast, and I began to write I’ve Dreamed!
