Analysis of The Meadow
Sarah Michelle Betzer 1982 (Olathe)
Soft white flakes of snow
from mother nature's lips they blow.
She's covering the ground with winter's sheet out where I flailed my arms, legs, and feet. Up and down...1, 2, and 3; tracing a snow angel in the image of me...
And I rode her wings into the windy breath of spring where branches began to get clothed in leaves on all the oaks, elms, and maple trees. The Birth of flowers' bloom has begun in compliments of nature's rain and sun. Bowerbird's erect nests for courting. Thrushes and doves sing to greet the morning.
Time turns the hands of day and night ushering in warm summer
nights. Children are shouting to the clouds in the sky all the images they see passing by. Butterflies are flying around vibrant purple aster, bees are sucking on honeysuckles to collect nectar.
Sweet scents of honey and oak fill September's air letting you know fall is here. Leaves, like a chameleon, begin to change, and all the green begins to fade. Honey-brown, crimson, and mahogany covered trees...kissed by nature's recipe.
