Analysis of Interviews with Hitler

Interviews with Hitler

30 years in the public eye
But only twelve interviews at most
One recording of a speaking voice

Carpenter, private solider
Man of the people, a winner
Magnetic speaker, good organiser

Toothbrush moustache, chiselled features
Shy, cool, whipped into a frenzy
Skilled in front of audience of many

Caricature of ‘The Little Man’
Germany in the hands of a thug
The German Mussolini, they shrug

Aversion to personal interviews
Avoids contact with those who disagree
Ferocious self-assertion to generate publicity

Don’t ever answer questions
Just make a speech instead
Treat it as public meeting to attend

Taking control of Germany
New world order overdue
State, race, one and two

National socialists rule
Demand of the productive class
Healthy mind and body stance

Desire to rule the world
Not challenged or noticed
Interview cancelled at short notice

This is one of 50 poems I have wriiten at the start of 2024 - i live just north of london They were my response to finally stopping work and enjoying more leisure time and travelling. I now spend time writing and playing sports almost every day. I am heavily influenced by world events and the nature of public and private relationships.
