Analysis of The name

Just tell me a word
so I can write down forever
the name of the rose
that one, plane and hypnotic,
swinging in your mind
from lobe to lobe
like the millionth elephant
swinging in other people’s cobwebs of trust.

Just tell me to leave
and never return
'cause I will anchor back
and you know it too well.

Just don't trust your cobweb
of hopes to return
to the anchor you’ve lost
'cause I know you’re afraid
to catch rust at the shore
afraid
of a life
without departures
and years spent measuring the horizon
while dreaming of distance, afar,
walking the same steps every day
breath by breath
in a sequence of unapologetic denial
of years spent measuring the balance
while living at a distance, afar,
word by word
on a vessel of thought
lost in the vastness of pride
which made you a pirate
preying on sights and glimpses
which you could never understand
since your feelings all burn up
the moment they kindle
fallen prey to an exorcism
unlike any other
a plunder of feeling
in a war against yourself.
