Analysis of Salted Brûlée

Sarah Brower 1995 (New Jersey)

Love was silk
smooth as velvet
a story so pretty

Until it wasn’t
quick change
pretty to rotten

Rotten to wounded
saliva salted wounds
fleshy vulnerabilities exposed

Exploited as you save
defiled reputation
only worthy in your eyes

Your as worthy
as the worm
worthy to dirt
