Analysis of Passionate Love

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Father, I love you, I want you, I do;
All that I want is to be here with you.

To live in your Presence
And look at your face;
To gaze at your Glory
And be known in your Place.

I want to come home now;
I’m tired and worn.
I want to sit down where its pleasantly warm.

And just gaze into the fire as
I watch all my cares melt away in Christ.
