Analysis of End of this age

Lori A. Powell 1962 (Saint Mary’s PA)

End of this age
Written by Lori A. Powell

Remember this my friend and pass the word along
The time is very near for the new millennium
In this world we are strong
And to God we belong
We shall see the end of this age
When the fire burns a terrible rage
Survivors will be divided right or left
For those who believe and those who have not yet
For a thousand years we will stay in one place
While God cleans up the mess we made
But first He has to get us out of the way
So when the road comes to a “Y”
let no doubt fill your mind
Believe and choose Life
And I will see you on the other side.
I hope to see a familiar face
Of great joy we will embrace
I thank God for giving us  Jesus
He forgives our sins and brings us home first
we will not hunger we will not thirst
Praise be to God in worship and in song
Remember this my friend and pass the word along

About this poem

For many years I did not take the Bible very seriously. I have read the book over and over again. For some reason, the past 10 years, I have become more aware of the changes in this world and in my family. I began to take thought to what God has said and how I would be able to handle it. Will I ever see my friends and family ever again When I sit down to write, the words always flow right out onto the paper. I take more time reading and proofing my poems than I do writing them. I like how this poem turned out. It came from my heart.

Lori A. Powell

I enjoy writing. I’ve written 2 children’s books. “Les Lobster” and “Stars are everywhere” I live in the forest where the river meets the ocean. Sometimes it’s easier for me to write than to talk to others. Ironically, I used to be a switchboard operator. I write because it seems right to write. Plus it keeps my mouth from getting into trouble. more…
