Analysis of I Dream In Moonlight

I Dream In Moonlight

I dream in moonlight bathing me with you
Your eyes caressing my face
And your lips pressed against mine
Your tongue in orbit around my mouth
Speaking in wet kisses
Writing verses of love and affection
Your arms wrapping around
In circles across my back
No longer in denial and waiting
Our urgency unfolding in total release.

As if two stars dancing together in night
You and I surround each other
Giving in to feelings so secret
Silence rings loud in ripples
Echoing through the darkness
All those moments we held
Each other in cherished thoughts
Find their form in brightness
We are the warmth of one sun
Lighting up the universe.

Forgive me for taking so long to show you
The world now turns into us
After so much waiting
We live to breathe in this breeze
Once invisible and now alive
So our miracle comes true
The dream you are to me awakens
Your heart and soul become
My Heaven on Earth
At last love brings me home.

I dream in moonlight bathing me with you
As I close my eyes to sleep alone
Here in the black quiet
You fill the absent space
The empty hole loneliness is
Staring at the sea of stars
A vision of you I cannot see
Levitates my hope one day you’ll be
As real as the softest water
Tracing your name in tears.
