Analysis of Dear Misguided gal,
Rophine Writes 2005 (Buea)
Dear misguided gal,
Does words that float are the once which stick around.
He was her firecracker
I was his
You can't miss something that never existed
What is the need to have eyes if you can't see me as the love of your life?
The spell you are on expires when you hate the way
He sounds
Such a heartbreaker
In ways, I can't diss
How can you claim to be in love when you don't know how being lonely feels like much less of being a wife?

About this poem
It is about the complexity of love and relationships. It explores the ways in which words can both connect and separate us, and how love can be both beautiful and painful. It's about the different ways we experience love, and the ways we can misunderstand each other. It's about the ways we can get lost in words, and the ways we can lose sight of what's really important.
