Analysis of Pain of Love
Darrell Shook 1978 (North Carolina)
Stop pushing me away,
You know I want to stay.
There is nowhere I rather be,
Why is it so hard for you to see.
Maybe you have stopped caring,
While my heart just keeps tearing.
You said it was us against the world,
Lately it is me left being twirled.
Did you find someone you love more,
Just tell me and I’ll show myself the door.
Do you want us to start something new,
Then stop making me get over you.
The hurt of heartbreak is to much to bare,
When you have found someone so rare.
I don’t understand the things you do,
One thing that is true is I love you.
