Analysis of Teenage Love
Tomide Bobade 2000 (Nigeria)
New and noble
Yet confusing
Like a newly found gem
Like a fire kindled
She wanted to hide it
So it would never see the sun
To bury it
So it would not see the light
She kept quiet
But her heart spoke
She sat still
But her skin tingled
They called to the sun
To come and see
What it is she has found
The new secret she bore
And in the night
When on her bed she lies
She would stare through the darkness
And smile at the light.
