Analysis of Choices

You took my loyalty and love,
like it was trash to be disposed of.
Believing lies, because I still care
while you're off with another affair.

You chose to cheat, you chose to lie.
I chose to forgive, I chose to try.
You chose to use me, then chose to leave,
I chose to hope and I chose to believe.

Manipulation and lies is your game,
because narcissists won't accept blame.
Accusing me for why you would cheat,
with love, you shouldn't have to compete.

When you cheated I shouldn't have stayed,
these are the choices that we both made.
Abandoning us, like dirt on the floor,
if love finds me again, I'll love me more.
