Analysis of I'm Sorry

Jared D. Langley 1984 (Marion Indiana)

I'm sorry I'm not there.
And that you feel alone
I'm sorry that I left
A life that I made home

I'm sorry I missed your first
For all the firsts I missed
I'm sorry for the choices made
That kept me away like this

I'm sorry that I chose drugs
And covered all my pain
I'm sorry I got so lost
And chose to run away

I'm sorry for you do not know
The answers you wish you had
I'm sorry we have not talked
For every day I grow more sad

I'm sorry but I'm not you see
It's rips me into pieces
I'm sorry cause I was no good
So I hope your eyes will read this

I'm sorry, I know is never enough
I can not change what's done
I'm sorry I can't explain more
Just know I love you sons
