Analysis of im nnot getting better

Tyler Moree 2006 (Kansas)

"Your life is getting better"
Something I want people to believe
My pillowcases are getting wetter
Happiness is hard to achieve

"You have a beautiful smile"
How can something beautiful be fake?
I haven't had a real one in a while
I'm not sure how much I can take

"Take a couple deep breaths"
I feel like I'm trapped
I've witnessed so many deaths
I think something in me snapped

"You're just like your father"
Five words I don't want to hear
I'm scared of being a shitty brother
But I guess I just attract what I fear
