Analysis of Now and then
Now and then I’d think back on my past;
Memories that seemed to linger, went by so fast.
Time flies at a different flow; maybe a different rate;
Some moments seem slow, some destinies seem straight.
Memorable moments prompt thoughts and dreams;
The moment we’re in is the reality as it seems.
Time beckons us towards to an inevitable fate.
We’ve had a lifetime of our destiny to contemplate.
Science isn’t a seance; there’s thought to advance that ambition;
Perseverance will eventually lead to fruition.
There’s dreams to be dreamt ; passions to be felt;
Fire of feeling that makes the coldest heart melt.
The sands of slumber drift you to a sleep of sweet dreams ;
To a reality nocturnal that necessarily seems,
To be an extension of life, a reality more than we are.
To reach beyond the moon and catch that star.
Nothing impresses more than ambition,
No musk is baser than the pheromones that attract and draw.
We learn to suppress inhibition,
We fix, suppress and cover every noticeable flaw.
We rise from our sleep, enter reality,
Accept its limits, surrender to futility.
Life is a fatal experience,
We are born to die.
Long life is a convenience,
We have more time to achieve,
We plant more hopes with a plan to achieve.
Dreams of our fathers, our mothers, our kin,
We satisfy others and then look within.
The spark of achievement is within you alone;
You’ll achieve your desires and your sins you’ll atone.
At the end of the day, sleep in peace in your world.
Knowing the rose you’ve blossomed has unfurled
Life shows you the way;
There’s thorns on the rose, on the way going through;
To guide you into dreams to make true.
