Analysis of ROCKSTAR TEACHER

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

Before School of Rock was ever a b movie, I knew a true rockstar teacher who came into the classroom with an actual lesson plan and not looking to start up some kid's rock n roll band. Now I see him up on his little bar stage. Living the dream that he once told his students like me never give up on dreams, for they are only for the ones who know how to reach and wish upon the stars

When the kids were out on the playground, I would sit in the corner with my pen, paper, and poetry. I would write the bullies would rip that shit up and want to fight, but the rockstar teacher saw me through the window, brought me inside, and said, never let them see you cry. You did the smart thing. You didn't fight. You just turned the page and continued to write

The rockstar teacher came to see me the other night read my poetry and command the stage with poems about everything and anything but not that awful catshit lady, and when I looked into the crowd, all those damn bullies of my life were applauding loudly, I guess the rockstar teachers lesson plans were a success.
