Analysis of Oh how the music played

Richard J Edwards 1960 (Ft Belvoir)

Oh how the music played

The violin plays out each note with the dreaminess that I wish each one of my days in life went. Even so there is a richness that expels the madness caught in your soul as junk mail gets delivered to your house daily. With each strike of the bow across the strings its like a magical sunrise and moon set. The masterfulness of the musian knows how to penetrate your skin traveling with you through a lifetime of emotions and you must hear it time and time again for with each pass you experience something new relatable to life. As the years go by you share grown kids and ages with the music. You start to slow down. It becomes more difficult for your kids to come and visit because they live a distance and the grand children's schedule and life in general. When you listen the music still falls on a young ear or atleast that's what you tell yourself. The time has come for your final rest so you lay your head down and say goodnight for the last time.
