Analysis of Gray
Krista Werts 1988 (Columbus)
I am gray
Of different shades
Like the tumultuous ocean waves
You find on a rainy day
Or the impending darkness
You see in the stormy clouds
Rolling in from far away
To describe me
Would be to say
That while I may seem like monotony
There is such a misery underneath
Yes, it is this way.
My story, though, is not bland
It is full of life and its crippling paths
While, yes, I may be gray
I AM of many shades
There is a place and a purpose for me
I just have to find my way.
