Analysis of Drop of colour in the gray

Janye Botes 2006 (South Africa, Pretoria)

Shadows weeps in the grey
Footsteps in hues of ash
Windows, like lost eyes
Watch time pass by
Tears stain the wall
A fading light
In the grey world
Where silence is kept
A street lost dreams in the endless weeps

At the corner of the street
A drop of colour
A spark in the grey world
Turn into wildfire

Shadows dances
Footsteps stride
Windows, wide open
Embrace the colour's tide
Tear stain fade away
The sun shines
Once the grey world
Now with colours and rhythm
A street with new dream
Watch us paint the world
