Analysis of The A-OK Niché

The A-OK Niche

4:45 in the a.m. as I turn on the light.
This perpetual cycle; is it day or is it night?
Against perspective and theory, my mind loses its fight.
Everyone who’s talking, shows others wrong and themselves right.

Six weeks of assertions and those challenge videos,
Endless litanies of the Covid and who really knows?
Panicking hoarders fighting over those toilet rolls!
Christians are declaring now: satan shall be deposed!

5g radiation; installations during quarantine,
Promising complete tech saturation of daily routine.
And in the proverbial distance, it can almost be seen,
The injection of a bio chip laced miracle vaccine.

Then these “level-uppers” who, in spite of this blight,
Seem to just revel in this madness and find great delight.
Portraying such productivity! Spewing so much right.
Campaigns, collabs, challenges and vids all merge in my sight.

IN THE MIDST OF THIS TEMPEST, WHAT I’M NOT IS… IS AIGHT!!!

I’m not aight with social media’s pressuring new norms.
I’m not aight with your advisement that I must reform.
I’m not aight with decisions in a pandemic new born.
I’m not aight with the hint “it’s the breeze before the storm.”

You know, I ain’t changing the world one day at a time.
Ain’t gifted to show to people plans of the Divine.
Ain’t sure how to feel about suppositions sublime.
But Someone needs to know that surviving is just fine.

Ain’t no shame in the exhaustion from cooking that meal.
Ain’t no shame in the news desensitization you feel.
No shame in wanting the kids in the trunk with that wheel.
Ain’t no shame in feeling that you’ve lost out in this deal!

You listened to everyone else; now let me advise.
Enemies want you to feel “less than” ‘cuz you can’t “thrive.”
I’m telling you today that I’m glad you can survive!
Please know that I’m thankful for the fact you are alive.

You are beautiful and strong with Love’s bright shine.
Those thoughts DO make sense when they come in your mind!
No need to dig deep ‘cuz it’s easy to find,
That your heart and hands are blessed by the Divine.

Though this verse is long, like quarantine’s reach,
I believe you’re OK and that’s what I’ll preach.
Don’t let failure be what you feel when they teach,
Simply surviving is an A-OK niche!!
