Analysis of I AM ME
Elizabeth Vickery 1969 (Royston Georgia)
As I look out the window, what do I see?
I see the world looking back at me.
So many eyes, too many words,
All the world to see, even the birds.
Can I be broken, can I be smart?
Can I move mountains,
With society torn apart?
Too many judging, too many to say,
Too many to ask, why I'm born this way.
My hands and legs move different than rest,
My heart and my soul is simply the best.
I am me, cant you see?
I am as normal as I can be.
I cant jump rope, i cant ride bikes,
I cant play soccer or go on long hikes.
I drive my car, I put up my clothes,
I write my name perfectly, and draw my own nose.
I am me cant you see,
I want to be the super me.
I am me good or bad,
I am me happy or sad.
Whether you accept me,
Whether you see,
Im still a person, I am me.
