Analysis of Cancer
Cancer is a funny thing

You think you’ll never have it nor someone you love.
When it happens you become numb.
You go from living to surviving in a matter of seconds.
What was once is now in wreckage.
Your new normal is surgery, chemo and radiation.
Cutting off hair that you’ll soon miss the smell of during a hug.
The person you once knew is no more because of the disease and all of the drugs.
Cancers a funny thing some cases you survive.
But for me my loved one didn’t make it out alive.
Suddenly the roles were reversed.
Holding their hand and being there when instinct tells you to run.
Your mind goes into fight or flight.
You can either stay with them or hide.
Cancers a funny thing once’s it’s over there’s feelings of peace, shock, sadness name it it’s felt.
Cancers a funny thing no one is immune it targets whoever whenever.
Cancer is a funny thing once it’s done with you the person you once were is no more.
You have relearn how to live completely
Cancers a funny thing once it’s happened you fear it every second.
