Analysis of The Gift
Larry Knauer, Jr. 1975 (Chester, PA)
I received this book not long ago.
I didn't rush into it, I'm taking it slow.
It's a magical gift with many powers.
Some take days, others only hours.
If I believe the words that I'm writing.
They become reality as fast as lightning.
So today, I believe I will receive,
A generous amount of luck money.
I give all that I have on any given day.
Take the shirt off my back with no delay.
For a stranger in danger,in the rains of May.
I heard a good deed a day, keeps evil away.
Good things will continue to come my way.
I sincerely feel I've been down too long.
Good Fortune, come to me where you belong.
Lady Luck and Mr Magic remember me,
Fill my hands with money so that all can see.
I always keep it real and stay true in all I do,
And I believe in the magic, so this will come true.

About this poem
A good friend unexpectedly gave me a new empty poetry book. I immediately decided to label and call this book The Gift. On the cover of the book, it states, We Are All Made of magic. And that sentence got me thinking that if you believe in magic, and you believe in yourself. That you can manifest your own destiny by believing in magic and yourself while you're writing words down on a blank piece of paper. If you truly believe what you are writing, it will come true. So naturally this book that was given to me inspired me to write this poem titled "THE GIFT "
