Analysis of Jerusalem Church Collection
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Be watchful and stand fast,
Act like men and be strong;
That faith is not downcast,
For in Christ, you belong.
All you do be in love,
I beseech you, brothers;
Think of Heaven above,
As you assist others.
You can be a convert,
Devote yourself to saints;
Ensuring your effort,
And having no restraints.
Subject yourself to these,
To workers who labor;
It is God you will please,
When helping your neighbor.
I am glad when Christ comes,
What I do in His absence;
It will be like blossoms,
In the spring such fragrance.
He refreshed my spirit,
Credit to the others;
Value of their merit,
And can call them brothers.
