Analysis of Sinning and Law
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
So I find it to be a Law,
Where evil lies close at hand;
That does not be causing a flaw,
As to the goodness that would stand.
I delight in the Law of God,
The inner being as a man;
From convictions that make me flawed,
As contradictions to His plan.
But some are in another law,
Warring against laws in my mind;
Sinful captives that dwell for all,
Causing some others to be blind.
For the wretched man that I am,
Who will deliver me from death?
Making me gentle as a lamb,
After I would breathe my last breath.
Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ,
Showed me to serve the Law of God;
The reasons He was sacrificed,
And why we should honor and laud.
