Analysis of Guided By Light
To my old self,
Please always leave the light on
In case I need to find you.
I know I’ve wandered far away,
But I need the girl that I knew.
I think I’ve lost myself,
So guide me with your light.
The spark inside of me has died
So I’m walking through the night.
All I see is darkness,
I can’t find my way back.
How do I get back to you
When all I see is black?
I have no light left in me;
It burned out long ago.
Please always leave your light for me,
So I can find my way back home.
I know one day I’ll find you,
Though it might take some time.
But when I make it to your light,
Can you relight mine?
