Analysis of Sonnet # 59

Luis A. Estable 1958 (Oriente, Cuba)

Her mental illness has her highly sad.
Her face of youth has eyes from crying tired.
She's never been with life a person glad.
As woman she has never been admired.
Oh, poor, young soul who wants to have some peace!
But no, my world, her days are worse than fire.
It is quite cruel this much to bear disease
That she does yell, " Cruel pain, yes, please, expire!"
I do believe that suffering can teach.
But what on goes to grave, the purpose, what?
It only pain creates; the heart does impeach.
And this it to my mind a bloody shot.
For those who suffer big, here is my cry!
Comfort so poor my heart can't pacify.
