Analysis of The Budding Of Graceful Aging

I knew upon squeezing,
Every ounce of youth...
I could,
Out from my 50s and 60s.
To still appear in my 70s,
A nonstop youthful hip hopper.
And proud to flaunt,
My ability to tolerate another stage of aging.

Well...
That aging gracefully business,
From a bud to bloom glowing...
As if the skin has been Sun kissed?
With no area of the body missed.
Is a fantastic marketing of B.S.
How do I know this?
I am an eye witness.

Aging becomes a more fragile undertaking.
Careful are the steps taken.
Even getting out of bed each morning,
Yes.
The doing of this becomes a challenge.
A surprising one.
With faith kept to pray for being blessed,
To hear the sound of a knee or back crack.
Then to stand up straight on two feet.
And walk slowly without losing balance.

I remember visiting my primary care doctor.
And this pain I felt came from nowhere.
With an attempt to tell my doctor,
On what scale of pain did I feel it.
Only to say what I felt has gone.

Some days I am seen limping.
Other days I am smiling from ear to ear.
With a doing as if to be a prophet.
'The days are not always cloudless and bright.
And the nights seem to bring colorful sunsets.
As if to introduce the stars and moon,
Prepared to entertain dreams.

To then, without fail,
That grouch comes out complaining.
About everything that has happened.
Before the days of a calendar were created.
To reminisce about unfulfilled promises.
And yet to have been heard to say,
'Forgiving is a blessing from God to pass on.
With a doing to share kept respect for others.'

The budding of graceful aging does not last.
And comes in flashes.
Making up and down appearances.
Sometimes moody.
And other times too humorous to avoid.

Although...
Leaving something heard to hear it said,
From a life explored to experience adventure.
Listening to comments.
At first making no sense.
To then as time passes to understand,
And comprehend.

You see,
Wisdom to achieve it is earned.
Not a gift given misunderstood,
For what reason and why the doing...
Is pointless.

We...
You, me, the birds, bees, animals, fish,
Learn as aging has us grow older.
That God creates nothing to leave,
Anyone feeling...
Done without purpose.
Done without meaning.
Or done without a lesson to learn from it.
And it ain't complicated.
To make it that way, either!

Get out of the way.
And let that be felt to feel!
