Analysis of What Remained

I tried to do it my way for
So many years and years.
Concerns and problems and much more
Were fueling restless fears.

I thought and prayed and thought and prayed
Why I did not have gains,
But losses and success delayed
Because of what remained.

Decisions that I made had not
Been brought before the Lord.
What little value that I got
Was of my own accord.

So, fears and pride were pushed away
To make room in my heart,
Because I prayed that love would stay;
The love God did impart!
