Analysis of Addiction
Sasha Harris 1991 (Wv)
Fuck you fentanyl.
I’ll have you chasing me down this path
I’ll have you biting hands that feed you
Only when I’m there will you feel at ease
And like you’re dying when I leave you
You won’t know yourself anymore
I’ll take your house, your kids, your pride
After just one little taste of me
You’ll do anything for your next high
The shakes, the sweats, total withdrawal
I’ll leave you lying in your bed
I’ll have you making deals for your soul
Until you eventually end up dead
I’ll watch the life slowly leave you
As your addiction becomes the focus
I’ll watch your loved ones watch you suffer
As you pretend no one can notice.
