Analysis of A Merciful God
Praise the Lord, O my soul,
Praise as long as I live;
Sing praise in one accord,
For all that He does give.
Trust not prince or king,
They give no salvation;
For what the Lord will bring,
To faith a foundation.
When His breath will depart,
He returns to the earth;
To cherish in your heart,
He gives you a new birth.
For on that very day,
His plans will not perish;
Trust the Lord and obey,
As He hugs to cherish.
Bless whose help is in God,
Whose help is in the Lord;
Giving honor and laud,
And keep in one accord.
He made Heaven and earth,
Parted land from the sea;
Potential of full worth,
God gave by His command.
He executes judgment,
The oppressed who are cursed;
Satisfies their payment.
Those who hunger and thirst.
He opens up the eyes,
Of all those who are blind;
Lifts them up to be wise;
That their thoughts are refined.
The Lord preserves strangers,
Sojourners of the land;
Warded off the dangers,
The place where they may stand.
The Lord reigns forever,
Through each generation;
Accord not to sever,
That gives you salvation.
