Analysis of The Spirit of Christmas

Cassandra Lee Smith 1982 (Winter garden,fl)

As World grows older
It seems there's darkness all around
Hearts start to get colder
And we're standing on sinking ground
Then Christmas time comes again
And a little hope appears
Although it's far away
It is also very near
the Spirit of Christmas brings a light
To brighten up the times
When the dreariness appears
And it gives us hope inside
Although evil does abide
There is a way to be saved
The Spirit of Christmas was born in a mange
Jesus Christ is His Name
Although hope may seem lost
Just look up to the shining star
Like the wise men were led to Jesus
It will lead to a hand that's nail-scarred
For those who trust in Jesus
The Spirit of Christmas will never die
Although the world refuses see
The Spirit of Christmas will always abide
