Analysis of Pain

My heart is heavy, burdened with pain,
For I love someone who doesn't feel the same.
Every day I long for a love that can't be,
Aching with a sorrow that won't let me be free.

I watch from afar, as they go about their day,
Yearning for a love that will never come my way.
Their smile, their laugh, their every word,
Leaves me longing, a love so absurd.

I dream of a world where we could be one,
But in reality, our love can never be done.
For they don't see me as I see them,
And my heart breaks, again and again.

My days are filled with aching pain,
As I struggle to hold back the tears again.
For my love is unrequited, a one-sided affair,
A love that's destined to lead to nowhere.

And yet, I can't help but hold on to the hope,
That one day they'll see me and my love will cope.
But until then, my heart will continue to break,
For the love that I long for, is a love that won't take.
