Analysis of Dubai or Venice
Akinwale David Akinkunmi 1995 (Benue)
Lost in the desert, lost in the sea,
Lost in Dubai, lost in Venice, oh me!
The feeling of being lost, so familiar,
But in these lands of wonder, it's so peculiar.
In the desert, the sands shift and swirl,
The sun beats down, a never-ending twirl.
Every dune looks the same, every step unsure,
Lost in this vastness, no known cure.
In the sea, the waves rise and fall,
The water stretches out, a never-ending sprawl.
Every direction looks the same, every wave like the last,
Lost in this vastness, no known path.
In Dubai, the buildings tower and shine,
The lights dazzle, the city so divine.
Every street looks the same, every turn unsure,
Lost in this urban maze, no known lure.
In Venice, the canals weave and flow,
The beauty stuns, the city a romantic glow.
Every bridge looks the same, every alley so narrow,
Lost in this labyrinthine, no known marrow.
But in these moments of confusion and despair,
A way out can be found, a new path to repair.
A map, a guide, a helping hand,
A new direction, a new land.
So even when lost in these magnificent places,
There's still a chance to find new spaces.
To discover the beauty once again,
To live, to love, to find a way, amen.
David Akinkunmi
lost in the desert, lost in the sea, love in dubai, lust in the sea
Lost in the desert, lost in the sea,
Love in Dubai, lust in the sea, oh me!
Two different feelings, both overwhelming,
In these contrasting places, it's all-encompassing.
In the desert, the emptiness surrounds,
But in Dubai, love and passion abound.
The warmth of a touch, the sweetness of a kiss,
In this city of wonder, love is the bliss.
In the sea, the waves crash and swirl,
But in lust, the passion begins to unfurl.
The heat of desire, the pull of temptation,
In this watery world, lust is the sensation.
But in these moments of love and lust,
We must tread carefully, not to let it combust.
For love can turn to heartbreak, and lust to regret,
If we're not mindful, we'll have only memories to fret.
So let's enjoy the beauty of these places,
And embrace the feelings that each one faces.
For in the desert, in the sea, in Dubai, and Venice,
Love and lust are parts of our human essence
