Analysis of The Chosen Servant
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
The Lord created Heaven,
While He stretched them out wide;
The earth that He had given;
Unto man who would abide.
He gives breath to the people,
And spirit to those who walk;
To worship in the temple,
And enabled them to talk.
For He is the Lord your God,
Who called you in righteousness;
To whom you honor and laud,
In glory through blessedness.
He gives you a covenant,
A light for every nation;
Satisfaction and content,
In having your salvation.
No longer blind in your eyes,
A prisoner of darkness;
Stop the cheating and the lies,
No longer seeing starkness.
For Jehovah is His name,
No other gods before Him;
Go throughout earth and proclaim,
He gives you spiritual vim.
Former things have come to pass,
And new things He does declare;
Declaring unto the mass,
Of His Word proclaimed to share.
