Analysis of HERE I AM

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

I knew both strength and weakness because I was weak and strong with no place where I truly belonged. I had enemies who said they were friends and family who just pretended to play the part. I do not know where I was, but now I  know where I am, and right now, I am in this moment of silence, listening to the water speak her words of love and wisdom.

I do not need to feel any longer the need to make waves because there are those seconds when the ocean even remains calm, for not everything needs to be seen or heard to make a point, and still, some anger and beauty come from it all, even when you fall down that hole

Here I am; there is no need to announce that approval is not found in either the heart or the mind. The approval that we seek is the reward we give ourselves and not others after we forgive ourselves and learn that reality is not time, so here I am
