Analysis of The runaway train
Timotej Nidorfer 1996 (Maribor)
No one wants to admit
It’s too hard to say
That politics is a fool man's game
All the morals aside
Oh the humanity
We just gotta know it
We live on a runaway train
It could bury all of us
If we’re not careful
If we don't oil the brakes right
If we cheap out on the rails
It could run us over
Without a thought of the day
Our precious children
Our lovely rights
Our good and loyal friends
Are part of this absurdist game
We live in a society
But its all just a lie
The only ones safe are capitalists
And the precious special people
Our fabled job creators
They need money for their yachts
Their space tech for Mars
They hope everyday they colonize it
So they don't need us more again
All they need is for men to, be able to breed
Then they don't need the women
These annoying creatures
A woman’s place is in the kitchen
And the housemaids mantle
With a kitchen handle
She prepares soup for her man
All her precious children thank her every day
They think of her as beautiful and daddy dearest as a saint
When the truth is not so pretty
When we are all devils in secret
We stomp on the ants for our enjoyment
And our sexy pantyhoses
The men are all in ecstasy
Having built with blood their paradise
They sit in the fisheries, hanging out with the mistresses
The children got an Ipad and God knows what they watch
Could be Bugs Bunny
Could be Santa Claus
Could be the Simpsons
Sometimes the Family Guy
In rare cases its South Park
But sometimes its Elsa Gate
Or the friendly incel
Could be a pedophile
A priest stuck in celibacy
Or just a fruitcake
Could be a communist or an agitator
Makes no difference, like at all
Sometimes its really, the evil Hitler foe
The man was a small dicked, fascist asshole
He was a mental case but that's no excuse
Some of us are not sane but we get over it
We find a hobby ,no matter what it takes
Could be a girlfriend, could be the trees
Who knows what's gonna be like or how its going to end
Could end in disaster or a new birth
God is both a prankster and a caring businessman
He is always watching, looking at us with his staff
The rich think they are safe
From the consequences
They think there's an escape
The Lawyers and the judges might agree
But God is always watching
As I said before
The universe is uncaring,it keeps paddling on
The Gods will deliver their judgment
And it wont be kind at all
They won't have any mercy
They won't stop at all
At end it’s up to you
How we control ourselves
Whether its by boots or heels
It only matters if we dare to climb
Don’t dare to do it
The most risky thing to do
Don't play the Russian roulette
To tempt the Devil
It's not the nice thing to do
He is not so kind,as they say
Could today be a nice guy
But He doesn't mess around

About this poem
Hello, this poem is mainly about societies, uncomfortable truths. Some might obviously contain hard themes.but I just used it to cope and vent and it ended in a fun and hilarious experience.I was rhyming along as I typed it, so cathartic!
