Analysis of Moment of Calm

When is it that my heart will find,
The peace it craves
Calmness of mind,
Find home centre,
Breathe,
Breathe,
Breathe,
Patience, practice to achieve.

Like clouds through and endless sky,
Thoughts that pass as I stand by,
Watching, waiting for what unfolds,
Find home centre, hold it close.

Or is calm found through ordinary things,
Moments between moments,
The fluttering of wings,
The gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze,
 The rhythm of waves as they crash on the seas.

Perhaps it's in the stillness of the night,
Or the warmth of the sun's gentle light,
Or in the laughter of a child's play,
Or in the beauty of a flowers display.

Whatever it is, I know it's there,
Waiting for me to be aware,
To quiet my mind and let it be,
To find the peace that's inside of me.

So I will breathe, and practice each day,
And trust that peace will cone my way,
And when it does, I'll hold it dear,
And let it fill my heart with cheer.
