Analysis of Icarus Complex

I soared through the air, the sun beaming and covering the world in an enchanting golden light.

As I rose into the air my wings flapping, going higher and higher.

The sun's rays getting hotter and hotter.

I could feel my wings melting more and more

But I didn't stop, I kept moving and flying and going higher.

Higher than anyone has ever gone.

With my wing melted and scorched

The wax burning my skin leaving red marks from my back to my thighs.

Feathers flowing off my back, off my scorned wings.

With my feathers flowing into the wind I can not help but to lean back and laugh.

As though there is a bitter sweet humor to this as I fall.

Fall faster and faster.

I rear my head back and laugh.

Now scored with the burns of wax.

And wings without feathers.

I am content.
