Analysis of Desire to Visit Rome
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
I thank my God through Jesus Christ,
Because your faith has been proclaimed;
Not letting yourself be enticed,
Temptation no longer has chained.
For the Lord has been my witness,
My spirit has served the Gospel;
Increasing spiritual fitness,
In proclaiming to the people.
I make requests in my prayer,
I should prosper if in His will;
In my journey that I do share,
The inspiration to instill.
I long to see as to impart,
Of a strong spiritual gift;
Established in taking to heart,
That inspires you to uplift.
Mutually comfort another,
As to wanting to be aware;
Faith of a sister or brother,
Of the things causing you despair.
May we all reap from the harvest,
Amongst all of the Gentiles;
For the Lord is faithful and just,
In the changing their lifestyles.
I am committed to the Greek,
And Romans to open their eyes;
For the Gentiles that they seek,
To make them spiritually wise.
Even though this here is my home,
I am also eager to preach;
That is why I must go to Rome,
As part of my Gospel outreach.
