Analysis of With Grief Comes Pleasure

Nello Flow 2006 (New York)

Grief travels alongside me in a dark and barren region,
taking my hand in it.
How much longer can my worn-out heart withstand this lonely journey?
I've been adrift in the fog since your passing.
Too weighed down by grief and responsibility.
People tell me that my grief will pass,
and that my tears will dry up.
Grief and I must finish our journey together,
and then perhaps I will be able to find pleasure once more.
