Analysis of Rebuild Me, Saviour
Circumstances built me
as a building fascinating to gaze at
attracting magnificent gapes
for my bricks vary in size
and my window is fixed
at the spot of my door.
Far worse is my beginning
the start was hurried
no digging of the soil
an omen of impending doom.
Collapse me, O Savior
and rebuild me;
establish my feet
deeply rooted in you
Rock of ages.
Let my windows be open heavenward
that I may not be ensnared
by earthly scenery
and vain views.
Let my door be single
yet a passage to your bosom.
